Erika Engle reports today that KGMZ 107.9 FM owned and operated by Salem Media will be switching over form live, local DJs to a satellite delivered music service starting next Monday. Several well known personalities on the “Oldies station” will be losing their on-air shifts and jobs. According to the report, only Ed Kanoi who does the morning drive show and Tom Moffatt who hosts the Saturday morning “Uncle Tom’s Rock n Roll Drive-In” show will be retained. KGMZ plays a rock n roll oldies format concentrating mainly on the hits of the 1960s and 70s.
